MORE ABOUT SUNBEAM B&B

We are Nikki and Neil. We have been married for almost 20 years and after visiting Northern Ireland a number of times, we decided that we would one day retire to Northern Ireland. A short while before retirement in 2019 Sunbeam Cottage came up for sale, so we decided that we would buy it and convert it into a Bed and Breakfast. The pandemic meant that we didn’t manage to move until September 2020 and that’s when the hard work began.

The perfect place to unwind...

Sunbeam Cottage was built in 1856 and was once owned by the 1st Earl of Antrim. Over the years, it has been used for various industrial purposes including meal and potato suppliers. Sunbeam potatoes are still grown in the local area to this day.

Sunbeam is the perfect spot to base yourself for visiting many of Northern Irelands tourist attractions such as Giants Causeway, where you can hear all about the escapades of the giant, Finn McCool.

For the Game of Thrones fans, places like Dunluce and Dunseverick Castle, The Dark Hedges and Ballintoy Harbour.

For the whisky connoisseur, Bushmills distillery is a favourite attraction offering tours and tastings.

Lot's to do and see...

Events such as the North West 200, the Mid Antrim 150 and the Armoy motorbike road races are all within easy reach, along with numerous Golf Courses.

You’ll find an array of excellent restaurants, coffee shops and bars across Northern Ireland.

In Belfast, you can visit the iconic Titanic Museum or meander around the Botanical Gardens, even spend some time at the Zoo.

Whatever your pleasure, Northern Ireland can accommodate it all and in the very centre of it stands Sunbeam Bed and Breakfast, offering 3 en-suite rooms and you can expect a warm and friendly welcome in comfortable surroundings.

Wi-Fi, parking and a hearty breakfast...

For your convenience, Wi-Fi is provided free of charge, along with ample off-road parking.

At breakfast, you can expect locally sourced ingredients whether it be a full-cooked breakfast or a lighter continental option which is served in a light and airy lounge/diner. We have more than enough room at Sunbeam to accommodate families and pets! Please include any additional information on your requirements in your booking enquiry.
